Teaching Supplies for Success
According to TIME magazine, “a total of $1.6 billion in school supply costs is shifted from parents—and increasingly, from cash-strapped districts—onto teachers themselves” (White). ToolsForYouth aims to assist teachers by providing them with essential resources and tools needed for their classrooms.
Backpacks for Success
Millions of students worldwide do not have access to the supplies they need to maximize their educational experience. This problem continues to worsen as NBC reports that the price of supplies has gone up by more than 80% for elementary and middle schoolers in the last decade. ToolsForYouth(TFY) works to help students by providing them with backpacks in which students will find pencils, pens, erasers, markers, crayons,notebooks, folder and a calculator so they can start off their school year on a positive note.
Books for Succees
Reading a book is one of life’s simplicities and can be the most rewarding experiences for a budding student. By reading books in different genres, students can gain knowledge, boost brain power and even relax. Unfortunately, Scholastic reports that 61% of low-income families do not have access to books. ToolsForYouth ( TFY) looks to change that by holding book drives and donating books to different communities.
