Founding Story

As a young middle school student, Arnav started noticing small inequities within his own school district. Small details such as certain kids having to borrow a pencil every day, students unable to complete their homework due to unstable internet, and the restricted access to Gifted and Talented Programs. Arnav talked about these inequalities with his sister Saesha and his parents These inequities became more and more prominent in his eyes, to the point where something, anything, had to be done to drive equity. Both Arnav and Saesha, started to raise funds so they could donate backpacks and school supplies to students in need. Tools For Youth is now a 501(c)3 non-profit aiming to create sustainable impact for local students and communities and, while doing so, we will always follow our mission: to provide valuable resources and skills training for under-resourced students to grow and become future leaders.
